Hello! I’m Yuka!
I’ve been grooming dogs since from 2009. I went dog grooming school in Japan two years and worked in Japan for 5 years. And then moved to Hawaii and start Lokahi Dog Grooming as one doggrooming salonin 2017. We are in Manoa from 10/2021.
Luckily, I have wonderful partner groomers, clients and opportunities and my business brushed out and getting better and better! I never expect that when I started!
I am also mom of one human boy and two four legs boys 👦 🐩🐩
Although it’s tough to have life balance as business owner and mom, I survive with support of my best clients. I just love my doggie and human clients! I deeply appreciate them🩷
My grooming method is always “Dog First”. Always priority is safety and comfort of dogs. I keep learning and improve my grooming operation to make less stress of dogs, give better skincare and long lasting cute outcomes!
We need to find “compromise point” for dogs, dog parents and dog groomer. I understand it is hard to achieve best for all of them and it is a process to take time to figure out. But we shouldn’t give up to find what is best for all. I appreciate to clients who understand our policy and team up with us!
Unfortunately I’m booked up with my regular clients so not accepting new clients for haircut. But I’m accepting new clients of small breed Basic grooming(no haircut) if you request me.
We also have pet retail products. Every single item is my favorite. Please find the item for your dog’s needs. We can always assist you to choose right item! Please feel free to ask us and swing by our shop!!

Hello, my name is Minami!
I have been with Yuka since the fall of 2021, right before she moved to Manoa. I was originally a bather since I just wanted the experience and wanted to be with dogs. Eventually I decided I also
wanted to be a groomer, so I went to San Diego Grooming Academy for 2 months and graduated in June 2023. The time there was so awesome, I got to see many dogs I wouldn't see in Hawaii, I learned
all the basics and more there.
My grooming skill still needs a lot of improvements, but I love every dog, every personality they have, I am really grateful that I get to do the job I love for work!
I cannot wait to see more 4 & 2 legged clients and provide my service to you!
